MAY 23RD - A DAY THAT WILL LIVE IN....

If Pat was physically able to kick his heels in the air, he would be doing so tonight! Instead - a cigar will have to do. He resigned his full-time job today effective the last day of June. He said it felt strange to quit a job. He will still work part-time until he gets that first Social Security check - Feb of '10, not that he's counting! Now the question will be - when will we move up to our retirement "trailer" as we jokingly call it. The carpeting and other flooring will be going in July 9th and the remodeling on the structure will begin any day.
I am sure Pat will remember today and it's significance for a long time. When you have been working since you were a "youth" - it's a very big deal to realize that at least for part of the year your time is your own. I am excited for him. And for me!
