SURF WAS UP!!

This was the week that Erin, Steve and Carson visited from Boston.  After a breezy perfect few days it turned hot and muggy. Did Carson mind? Not at all, since she was hanging ten in her $10 WalMart plastic pool! I threw in some plastic measuring cups, moved a plastic table poolside (that was her "oven") and she spent a few days cooking soup with berries (stones) and chocolate-lemonade, her specialty!  The only attempt to swim in the lake ended in drama, as Steve thought he was being bothered by the ghost-snake (a stick) and Erin, as she was trying to catch Carson's carried-by-the-wind yellow sun hat slipped on a slimey rock and rolled on her pregnant tummy!  After that we kept strictly to the above-ground pool! Pat was stricken by back spasms the last few days so we stayed close to home.  Carson is sooo cute and three is such a wonderful age.  She has a great sense of humor and is well-behaved and fun to have around. As soon as they left the house seemed so quiet and uninteresting!  We can't wait 'til Carson's brother arrives in November!
