BOSTON/CHAUMONT/DOYLESTOWN

Here we are, back from our 3000 mile drive-about. We decided against flying and I must say it was a very pleasant trip. We could pack liquids in our carry-ons to our hearts content and noone gave a flip.

Leg One of our journey was to get eyes and arms around our newest grandaughter Carson and her Mom & Dad. What a beauty she is! And her parents are awesome - seem to be born to the job of parenting!

Leg Two of our trip was a 4 night stay in upstate New York on Lake Ontario in what we believe will be our retirement area - or as Pat calls it "the place of my death" - nice turn of phrase huh? We searched and explored with the help of my cousin Bonnie and husband Gary and found several possibilities. What fun to be back on the Chaumont Bay and scarfing up Bonnies yummy food and desserts. We bid a fond farewell to Weight Watchers while we were away. We are counting the months til we can return as residents and retirees!

Leg Three was a zig off 81 for an overnight visit to my brother Chip and his wife Kathleen. It was too short but very sweet! We got to see new additions to their pretty home and to see Kathleens offices - she embarks in her own private practice starting this week....

Max the dog stayed with one of Pats co-workers who have a dog named Harry. From what we heard the two dogs got along famously - so much so that Max wasn't all that thrilled to get in our car and come home with us. Thankfully, since he has a small brain pan, he is now happily back in his groove here at home and doesn't respond when I ask him "Where's Harry?" Harry is a distant, if at all, memory.

We on the other hand remember perfectly where we have been and are grateful we had the chance to see loved ones - new and old.
