WATCHING COOKING SHOWS WHILE DIETING IS DANGEROUS TO YOUR EMOTIONAL STATE

I was working on our Weight Watcher dinner a half hour ago and thought I'd turn the tv on just for the news - and when it blinked on, there was Paula Dean plopping a half stick of butter and a half cup of sugar into some bread cubes while whipping up her brown sugar-pecan encrusted bread pudding. It took a few swipes with my new Swiffer to get the drool wiped up off the floor. It occurred to me that food is such a pure pleasure. I hope in my kids lifetime there will be a pill they can swallow that will allow them the pleasures without the agony of dieting. Paula went on making lemony cream cheese covered frosting on little cakes and then followed up with frosted cookies decorated with toasted coconut. OUR dinner you might ask? Penne pasta with chicken and veggies and a tossed salad. Point total? 9.5 - Paula's goodies? 1025 points :-) Or translated into my WW Plan - a cool 27 days worth of eating!
