IT'S NOT ORANGE - IT'S ADOBE!
What to paint the kitchen. That has been the question of the week. The ceiling is beadboard natural pine, the floors are 12" square black and white tiles. The counters are dark green. The cupboards are white. The wallpaper the realtor thought was "dated" was a green leaf on white. I drew inspiration from a little kitchen timer that had green, black & white checks, a dark red apple...and a sort of adobe color. I handed the timer over to the painter and he returned later with two big buckets of a specially mixed paint titled "Manual Adobe". After some test swipes I asked the painter what would happen if I didnt like it once it was up. "Oh, you can change the color...you would just have to buy more paint" was his response. Made sense to me. So I started liking Manual Adobe. When Pat saw it he said "ORANGE? With GREEN COUNTERS?" Now I'm nervous that the realtor will be on me like fleas on a dog about the color. She will probably approve the off-white color of the dining room though. I feel like I am not living in my home anytmore. But if it brings in a signed contract I guess that's the name of the game! By the way in reallife it doesn't look THAT orange!
