A VERY SIGNIFICANT DATE - our wedding day! From meeting on an AOL Chat Room to tying the knot in Sevierville, Tennessee - our courtship was pretty amazing! One night in the spring of 1996 I had Katie on my lap playing on the computer. I was giggling about all the strange chat rooms on AOL and she said to me "Lets US make up a chat room." I agreed and she named it "Armpits".
Seconds after creating it, in popped Pat. He told me later he saw that curious name and wondered who on earth would have named it! A half hour later Katie moved on to something more fun and I was still chatting with Pat. Six months later we would be husband and wife. Engraved on the inside of Pat's wedding ring - "Armpits"! I tell him a lot that he is my favorite husband. That is not faint praise since as you know I have made other selections in the past.It was rough the first year. I almost gave up, but we muddled through my tears about being away from my kids, being in Griffin,Georgia instead of Coronado, Ca.and just plain getting used to each other.
Eleven years later I realize that I married a man who brings out the best in me, still makes me laugh, still impresses me with his honesty and intelligence and still makes me feel good when I hear his voice on the phone. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, BABY!
