THE YEAR OF OUR RETIREMENT?

Happy New Year to All!! 2008 may, if all things align properly, be the Year of Our Retirement. It will take a LOT of aligning though! For example, the house has to sell. The stock market can NOT hit bottom. Our health needs to stay good so we will be able to physically move our "stuff". Hopefully no one will best our contingency offer on our retirement double-wide. Black River Bay won't dry up. And Social Security and The Army retirement funds will remain solvent. So - as you can see - we have a Fighting Chance!! We are emerging from a busy end of '07 with lots of family here to celebrate Pat's 60th. It was so much fun to see everyone...Robin and her cute kids and Erin, Steve and baby Carson. And then a visit from Pats brother and wife...there was much munching, laughing and reminiscing. This week will be the removal of Christmas past. I need to consolidate a roomful of Christmas decorations into just a few easy-to-transport boxes. That will be a challenge! This week also begins the countdown to opening day of Braves baseball...84 more days!!
