VOTED EARLY....WISH I COULD DO IT EVERY DAY!

Today Pat and I went down to the square and voted early. There was a line! Voting early is a great idea - allows more people to take part in the elections by choosing the most convenient day and time for them. No secret for whom I voted. Am I thrilled with McCain as a candidate? Heck no! But this year the choice is so dramatic and if Obama wins, will alter life as we have known. If one party controls it all there will be no checks and balances.

This would mark the first election I can remember which was won by the press. Even rational Obama supporters would have to admit the overwhelming lopsidedness of election coverage. The press has declined to be truth-seekers. If you remember how the major outlets dug and dug and kept on digging trying to discredit Bush in '00 and '04 - and aren't inclined to do even cursory snooping for Obama. It's an uphill fight for a candidate to run against an opponent AND the main-stream media.

The hatred from the left toward the right is downright scary. It is not just a difference of philosophy. It is a white-hot anger that comes from...who knows where?

The slimey politicians in Washington are interested only in power and not what's best for our country. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were just a sample of a socialist experiment gone amuck and shows how the government will indeed spread our wealth around. Barney Frank and his ilk wanted to give homes to the poor. We are footing the bill to pay for their do-gooding. If Obama wins, we will see Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and a Democratic congress do as they please. What other give-away programs are in the works when the Republicans are powerless to stop them? Hang on to your ass-ets! (If you have some left.....)
