SCHIZOPHRENIA PERSONIFIED.....

It is that time once again...to put aside foolish pleasures, such as retirement, and make the long trip from Dexter to Ellijay. Yes, Pat is back at work at the bank for the next 4 weeks or perhaps longer. We pulled away on Saturday schlepping through snow and ice just ahead of a big snowstorm which is still raging. 20 hours later we pulled into our driveway lined with daffodil shoots! That is major schitzo! We left a furnished homey home and are now camped out in a big mostly empty house. What is left here are the dregs of our "stuff". We are watching a 19" tv on a rollaway outdoor tea cart. We are eating dinner on an outdoor patio table. We are sleeping in a small bed instead of the King-sized bed we are used to. I am cooking with just two pots. There is but one chair in the living room. When we left Georgia at the end of November most of the leaves were still attached to the trees. Now they are unattached and looking pretty soggy and yukky all over the yard. The pansies I planted have lost their oomph. In other words, I will need an attitude adjustment! I often think about poor old St. Joseph buried in the back yard. What can he be thinking? Oh yes - he's thinking "let me outta here!" Even though he is upside down he knows what is going on in the real estate market above ground! I am afraid we will be living a schizophrenic life for many months to come.
