THIGH SIZE AND OTHER TRIVIAL NEWS.....
SISTERS REJOICE!!! Grab your tape measure and whip it around those thunder thighs!
Here is the basic info from a study done in Denmark. People whose thighs had a circumference less than 23.6 inches were more likely to suffer from heart disease and premature death than those with more chubby gams, according to this study. It’s the first research of its kind, and it could lead to a thigh-size test to determine heart risk, the Independent reports.
But the researchers note that after thighs crossed the 23.6-inch threshold, it didn’t matter how big they were; the risk remained constant for the trim and thunder-thighed alike. I just measured mine a few minutes ago and found them to be just under the cut-off. Just to be sure I will up my Wii workout focusing on that wiggly mass above my knees. My hope is that the scientists will NOT come up with a butt measurement. THAT would be serious!! What if they measure the skin hanging from the upper arm as a predictor of something dire?? I'm doomed!
Peebo (aka Obama) has called Our Governor and asked him not to run again. Is that a precedent? Will he be checking in with all Dem governors who are in bad poll shape? I wish Obama would ask one or both of our Senators not to run again - Schumer and Gillibrand. We hit the political jackpot when we moved here! Gillibrand was one of a few lawmakers who thought it was A-OK to keep giving money to ACORN. Give me a break.
I read today that kids don't have to learn cursive writing anymore. A Mom gave her daughter a paper for her signature and it looked like a first grader's. I suppose the theory is that ALL kids will be communicating via keyboards and won't need to use the written word. How sad. I fondly remember those cursive writing charts around my classroom in second grade. I thought it was fun to make pages of cursive Q's and J's. Our grandkids are getting the short end of the learning stick. Bring back Latin, Art, Music - and cursive writing!
Ryan and Jessica have set their wedding date - August 12th. I am so excited for them! That gives me approximately 10 months to lose 60 pounds. Six pounds a month...
1-1/2 pounds a week. I can do that. Keep telling me that. You can do it. You can do it. It's either that or a yellow tent!
