ROAD TRIP
I have been on the road - and therefore out of print for the past few weeks. We took advantage of a lull in doctor's appointments to head south - visiting kids, grandkids, my good friend in NC and Pat's brother and sister-in-law in South Carolina. Then, after that good part we headed to Ellijay where our poor ole house has been sitting without us for three years. Now THAT was sad. The grass was tall (we hired a guy to cut it this summer), the house was musty (we left the windows open for two weeks & opened up many deodorizers). There were lady bugs on parade (typical for this time of the year there). We spent our time cutting back bushes, cleaning out closets and nooks and crannies, vacuuming, mopping, measuring for some new carpet in the family room. Then we had some help and loaded a Uhaul for the third time for the trip home. We had a three day drive with me following the Uhaul in the car, and a quick zig to visit my bro in Philadelphia who was in the hospital after surgery. By the time we got back to our retirement trailer I was a zombie as was Pat. Our bed never felt better. Max rolled around the floor and pulled his toys out of the basket. Be it ever so humble...... Now we have ALL of the stuff in the Uhaul around the house. I got our bedroom cleared today and the laundry done. Now on to other rooms. It is overwhelming!
We may have rented the house so that means another, YES ANOTHER, round trip to Ellijay to clear the house to the walls. AAARGH!!!!!! As my Mom used to say: "Give Me Strength! ".
