"...IT AIN'T NICE TO FOOL MOTHER NATURE..."

This lake never ceases to amaze us. In the quiet of the night, we go out on the porch and listen to the strange unworldly sounds it makes. Deep GLUG GLUG GLUG noises come from all directions. To be honest it is sort of creepy in the dark. During the daytime, when the sun is shining, you can barely make out the sound of cracking. We have been told that in a few weeks when the melting begins in earnest, it will sound like tinkling and chiming. I can't wait for that!

Here is what we saw today as we took a ride a mile or so around the lake. It was an awesome sight! The cars were out in droves from around the area checking out this phenomenon. Our neighbors say they have never seen anything like it! Thats what they said when Hurricane Ike ripped our boat, dock and rail system away back in September!
We heard the same thing when they were in awe of the snows we got in January! What is in store for us next???
