ON THE ROAD AGAIN...

I guess you can tell I have been busy lately. After returning from our Georgia estate, I had to have all my wits about me in order to scatter all the furniture we brought back in various nooks and corners around the house. This is NOT a huge house...so, take for example, our bedroom. It is maybe 15 x 15 and now contains: 1 King Bed, 2 marble top tables on each side of the bed, 4 - count them - 4 chests of drawers, and a washstand.  Very cozy, I might add.  And so it went for every room. Furniture I couldnt bear to abandon somehow found a spot here at the lake.  After that ordeal came the Switching of Clothes, winter for summer. That is a two day project as I am still paying a heavy price for my days at the thrift store when I got "half- off" on clothes. Gradually as the stuff wears out I will be back to a normal human level. Now however, it is a 2 day act of torture. I am now out of the closet so to speak and on to cleaning the laundry room and then the storage room.  Tomorrow we are off to Boston to finally get to hold our newest Grandson Matthew aka "Bud".  Also on the list for the weekend will be to play with his big sister Carson and to celebrate daughter Erin's birthday. Back home and a day after that, hit the road for another trip to Georgia as we have rented our house there to a nice young couple and have to clean it to the bare walls for them. More stuff to drag around, throw away, and bring back here - this time in a small trailer. Pat sez if it doesn't fit into the trailer it ain't coming north.  Fine with me.  THEN, a few days after getting back from Georgia we hop a plane and head to Las Vegas for Ryan and Jess's wedding on the 12th. What a whirlwind month!  I have not done one little thing in the garden this summer so far - mainly because its been too cold. The weeds and dandelions are flourishing however!
So that's the news from our side of the Bay.  Will share our adventures when we get home again!
