RANDOM NOTES FROM THE HOUSEHOLD
Not in any particular order....
1. Our family room is getting smaller - would that the family living here could follow suit. Pat is an avid reader and his collection of books has filled all the built-in shelves and then some. Add to that his stamp collection binders, CDs, DVDs, VHSs, and my photo albums, yearbooks, chatchkes, framed family pictures etc. and we have simply not one squinch of space left for one thing!
We need to whittle down this stuff so we can make room for a series of cameras Pat has collected since the holidays. God Bless Ebay. In order to enjoy them they need to be accessible. Comments about pack rats need not be verbalized.
2. The fully decorated Christmas tree remains in the living room. We rarely use the living room (it must be a misnomer since we don't live in it~). I just took all the other Christmas acoutrement (Think Diane on Cheers) down to the garage and will most likely close the door to that room and on Dec 1st, open it up again and plug the tree in!
3. There are things changing life-form in the refrigerator. I reached in to grab some salad stuff a few days ago and I was able to discern what used to be a cucumber. There should have been police tape around it because there definitely was a crime scene in the vegetable bin. A box of mushrooms I bought when Katie was here a few weeks ago actually had no - that is NO - matter which could be considered a solid. Ewwww.
