We have been looking for about a year for a retirement home or a lot to build one on right on Lake Ontario. This week this home appeared in the listings. It was as if someone took my dream house and plunked it down where it was meant to be! Its small (dont want a big house to clean and care for) and RIGHT on the water with killer views. Master bedroom on the main floor. Its on a "plowed" road. And on top of that it looks so darn CUTE! But the price isn't so cute. So I've been thinking about "what if I went back to work til Pat retires and that would make the payments?..."what if we could win the lottery?"...."what if I sold myself on the town square?"...but realistically it's just not practical! Buying a home is as much an emotional phenomenon as financial. So the search will continue. If it's meant to be we will find the right place for us. But til then....WAAAAAAAAAAA!
