It's Easter Sunday...and so cold the leaves on the trees have shriveled and look dead. Gone are the azealeas and other early bloomers. So hopefully we will have a chance at a second spring by the end of the month. Since Pat and I are here by ourselves, we will not be feasting on a nice juicy ham and all the fixings. It will be more like a ham sandwich and a Dairy Queen for a dessert treat. I have been cleaning and packing so my inclination to cook has bottomed out. Katie asked me if I was going to paint bunny tracks outside the house. This was my mission when they were young - I would mix up a bunch of mud in a pail and with my paintbrush hit the sidewalks in our neighborhood making bunny tracks in and out of all the houses. I would also leave little bits of chewed carrots. Imagine a grown woman out in the dark of night painting mud tracks around the neighborhood. I guess I was lucky not to have been carted off to the funny farm. Or is that the Bunny Farm? I also went nutso with the easter Baskets trying to find little things that would be exciting - always including that old stand-by from my youth...silly putty in an egg! I hope I appreciated those days when I was living them - they are special memories today! Happy Easter to All!
