For the third year I threw caution to the wind and joined in the family NCAA Tournament Brackets. My bracket name was SHOOT FOR THREE. Little did I know when I picked the name that it would end up being my final point tally. As most of my teams were eliminated weeks ago in the first rounds, it became clear that I would end up in the cellar and so I did. Well, I did manage to beat my friend Andrea who didn't get her picks in before the deadline. I take no pleasure in that small victory. The folks at YAHOO offer a bazillion dollar prize if you have perfect picks. There's a safe bet for them, especially this year with so many underdog upsets. It is those moments that make this tournament fun!
I think it would be cool if the MLB organized some sort of preseason tournament like the NCAA's. Maybe I will write a quick note to Bowie and suggest it. A finders fee for that idea would be appreciated Mr. Kuhn. This final game tonight between Dook and Butler is exciting - back and forth all night. Too bad one of them has to lose. Hope it is the Blue Devils!
