The outcome of the looooooong Democratic primary race is supposedly over. Amen. Now, as Pat said, could we please have the election next Tuesday and get this over with.
Every paper in the world had Obama's picture on the front page with bold letters screaming "HISTORICAL!!" Okay, I will give him that. So if we are voting on color this election, and we do so because it will be historical - then press that button for the O-Man. Have you noticed how the big box media is totally Swooning over him?
And did you catch his post-last-primary speech? Here's an excerpt:

"I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal." uH-Huh. Right. He will part the seas.

At this point I am reeeally tired of ALL politicians. They are unable to accomplish a darn thing that matters - either R or D. While we need actual leadership in helping to solve the fuel situaiton - they are worrying about whether the Patriots cheated in football games. They are falling over themselves trying to appear as earth-friendly and global-warming warriors - let the population eat cake.

Back to the O-Man - he is a great speaker from the podium and with the teleprompter.Off the cuff, not so much. I think he is a socialist who will sell us all down the river in the name of trying to equalize the world. I am counting on the media to help him along -give me an O! Give me a B...etc. I am not counting on any serious questioning of his philosphies and ideas for "change".

Oh yes...I am NOT liking Johnny Mac either. He is an annoying speaker - Sing-song and appears to be talking down to us folks or "mY friends" as he calls us. Ask me if there is ANYONE in politics that I admire...even Lieberman stuck his name on an abominable bill in the last few weeks.

So as the old Backstreet Boys song says - "Wake Me Up When It is Over"!
