The Answer: WEIGHT WATCHERS, DOLLY PARTON, CLOSET CLEANING

As CARMAC would say, "The question is- What's happening in our world in early January!".

Tomorrow we return to the wonderful world of Weight Watchers. You ALWAYS have to start a diet on a Monday. We intended it to be last Monday BUT - Pat's office threw him a surprise birthday bash which of course included goodies not conducive to Day 1 of a weight loss plan. So tomorrow we will be back to counting points - and lucky Pat gets to have more than I do!

Dolly Parton came up to Ellijay on Friday night. She performed two dinner shows at the HOMETOWN BUFFET. Well actually it wasn't the REAL Dolly but she sure looked like her and sounded quite a bit like her! It tickled me to see a woman in a fur coat going through the buffet line...talk about a step down from Las Vegas!! "Dolly" knocked herself out though - and her second banana was a guy with a great voice- did Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers etc. It was a fun time.


Today, while watching the CHARGERS win (YAY!!) I started on my pre-move (if it ever happens) closet and cupboard cleaning. I will try and whittle our stuff down to the point that it will fit into Two Bekins 18-wheelers! Yesterday I finally went through all the Christmas boxes and got that stuff into plastic bins. Still too much but better. I am in a throw-away kind of mood right now so nothing is safe around here!
Tomorrow - pots and pans and cookbooks are my target.
