BREAKFAST FOR DINNER
Am I alone in the feeling that the whole shlameel about cooking is getting old? It isn't just the actual cooking of the feast - its the shopping and schlepping that is tiresome. Just thinking about what in the heck will we have for dinner tonight is not fun. I know. Life is not fun. Get over it. I am lucky to have a husband who is willing to take me out at the drop of a hat - plus he thanks me and compliments me for every meal I manage to get on the table. I'm thinking when we retire we won't be able to eat out as often...so maybe a box of cereal for dinner - for variety perhaps three or four different kinds of cereal would be good. For a hot meal...grits? Campbells Soup? I suppose this is just a passing mood. I will rise to the occasion again and throw some blackened salmon on the grill...with mango salsa and wild rice...mmmm - I'm getting hungry. Guess I'll have a bowl of Shredded Wheat! Actually tonight it's breakfast-for-dinner...scrambies and grits and left-over steak and toast. Bon Appetite!
