HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS. JOHNSON!
FROM THE PAGES OF LADIES HOME JOURNAL APRIL 1918
Pat's ex-wife's Mom turns 90 in a few days. I have admired her since I first met her.
She is dynamic, energetic and independent at 90. Hard to wrap my little brain around that accomplishment, luck and great genes. My dream is to age just like her! I want to hop in my car and drive to the store when I'm 90. I want to get on a jet and go visit my great-grandkids when I'm 90. I want to just BE when I am 90!
Imagine that! 1918 was quite a year.
World War 1 was raging. Rita Hayworth was born. Woodrow Wilson was President. Actors Charlie Chaplin and Douglas Fairbanks were selling warbonds on the streets of New York. The "Red Baron" was shot down. The Spanish Flu started here in the US and spread around the world killing 50 to 100 million people, more than the Black Death and more than the number killed in WW1. The Russian Revolution was raging. The Boston Red Sox beat Chicago in the World Series...
Happy Birthday Wishes to quite a lady!
