WHAT IS SPENT AT HARRAH'S ....STAYS AT HARRAH'S ~

This Thursday Katie and I made an overnight trip to Cherokee.NC to have some fun.
On the way we stopped for lunch in Nantahala Gorge at a little restaurant I have always wanted to visit. We sat by the window and ate some yummy food while watching the rafters go by. Next year we decided we would try it, assuming my knee will permit my leg to be bent enough to get in the darn raft! We arrived at Harrah's about 2pm. Clutching our first $20 we looked for machines with good karma. HAH!
We ended up playing some fun penny machines. Sounds like a cheap way to spend some time but nowadays you have to play 21 lines x a penny and then to win the jackpot you have to double that bet and play both right to left and left to right. So 42 cents a hit. Woohoo. I wish I could say that we starred in a Cinderella story. Alas, not so. But we had a great time and dedicated the trip to Katie's Aunt Mildred,known as Momo, who was an avid slot player!
