BUHBYE BOBBY!

A sense of darkness and gloom has descended on the recliners tonight.  Our Braves managed to non-hit and error themselves out of the Division Playoffs.  I can't speak for Pat but I am exhausted after all the tension.  The team was playing on borrowed time as they had a combination of scrubs and newbies in the line-up because of injuries through-out the season. No excuses. Other teams had injuries also. Our phenom who started the season with publicity up the wazoo didn't live up to the hype. Our big first base trade with a history of home runs - didn't work out as well as a Brave. Life goes on. Winter will come. College basketball will start and I will root against Duke thereby annoying the heck out of Pat.  We will sign up for March Madness. Then come spring another chance at the Big Ball 'o Wax!  It is a grueling season. I can't imagine being on the road for 8 months of the year. One person will not have to worry about that any longer - Bobby Cox!  He can relax in HIS recliner and yell at the TV with the rest of us. I bet he will hate it.  We will miss you Bobby (except when you left your pitchers in too long!)  Happy Retirement, Mr. Manager!!
