MOTHERS & DAUGHTERS....

Maybe it is because I had a somewhat difficult relationship with my Mother that I cherish the time I spend with my own daughter Katie. Of course her judgement of me as a Mother is yet to be written about. Who knows what transgressions were perpetrated on her by me! People say she resembles me - and since she is to me extraordinarily beautiful, I am amazed. It is weird to see your child sort of at the precipice of life. She's grown up yet she isn't. (For that matter I'm not sure that I am either.) I know that she is smart, funny, pretty intuitive about people,creative,and resourceful (she has had to be). I am always sad when she leaves since I know it will be a while before I will see her again. She seems to be a true "California Girl" at this point. This makes our time together so special to me!
