CONTINGENCY PLAN

Ordinarily those two words would mean that Pat is buying more knives and survival gear. However in this case it means that we have signed a contingency contract on a home on Black River Bay in upstate New York that we looked at a month ago! The real estate market here in Ellijay gives new meaning to the term "slow as molasses in _______" (choose a month). They say timing is everything. My timing history? I got an IUD in 1986. (Katie was born in 1985.) I got my middle-of-the-back length hair cut short a month before long hair was pronounced "in". I started a travel agency a few years before the internet put travel agencies out of business. SO - the timing of our putting the house on the market is somewhat off. I am optimistic because all of my other timing errors have turned out wonderfully well! Look at my Katie for example!!
If any of you has any creative marketing ideas which might work let us know. Meantime we will pray to the real estate gods and follow HGTV's advice - curb appeal and all that jazz!
